Material & Craftsmanship
· Clay Preparation: Alum clay is soaked in water, blended, and ground to a smooth consistency, then mixed with sand for enhanced plasticity.
· Molding: Clay is cut into 10–13 mm thick slabs and shaped using plaster molds. After forming, pieces are left to mature and dry naturally under the sun.
· Firing Process:
o Fired in round tower kilns at 700–900°C
o Firing time: 10-12 days, followed by 2 days of cooling
o Surface finish and color tone are naturally developed during firing
